What makes a strong community? Good jobs at decent wages for good people. So why is Quincy School Board so intent on destroying decent jobs? Why are they spending taxpayer dollars on frivolous lawsuits against the State of Illinois?
Our schools function because local workers earn enough money to buy a home and pay property taxes to support our schools. Why does Quincy want to undermine local workers' wages? Don't they understand when wages are cut, the tax base of our schools suffers too?
Our schools should prepare our children for a decent future. Is the Quincy School Board's intent to "Third World" Quincy? Since they can't ship construction jobs overseas, do they want to reduce those jobs to meager levels too? Wake up Quincy School Board and support economic development through decent jobs. Call your school board members.
